Instead of drop down lists which limit users to only one thing from the list make these toggles that allow for choosing more than one thing from the list. For example category weapons and category armor. Currently I must choose one or the other. But with toggles I could choose both and then click search to see weapons and armor at the same time. Same goes for subcategories and rarity. A price range filter would be nice as well. I’m not sure how much I personally would use it but I can see how it could be a handy filter feature. Also special events like halloween could use their own categories and subcategories. For example the main category could be festivals and subcategories for each such as one for halloween since that is the event we just got through with. Then all items specific to the event would appear when filtering for that event. Candy corn, weapon skins, etc. That way if we aren’t looking for a specific item or just want to see all that is available from the event(s) we can do so.

Would very much like to be able to search for just the armor type I can use without seeing ALL the armor available.

Ah yes I forgot to make that specific example for armor. Thanks for posting a reply about that. Even a filter option of only show what I can use would be of benefit as it may vary slightly from a subcategory for type. However ideally both would be options.

Oh, my. I`m waiting for armor type filtering since the day TP went online. The best auction system i`ve ever met and lacking only 2 features: the filtering in question and the ability to preview weapons\armors. With the abundancy of transmutating stones you get, guessing the items model by picture only is a bit hard :-)

Previewing items and light/medium/heavy filtering are the only things I really find lacking currently.

It would be nice if those of us who selected the smallest UI got text that was a little clearer, but I believe that is the fault of the developer of the browser interface that the trading post uses and not the fault of the game.

there used to be an option for “Useable by me” in the trading post in the betas…for some reason it was removed?
