Problem
When you switch to underwater combat your weapons, your skills and the way you fight changes. Yet, we still have to make do with the same build, which is mainly meant for combat on land.
Say you have traits that enhance your sword/pistol skills, as soon as you enter the water, those traits become useless. Now some may argue that you can easily switch traits, this is only partly true. Yes you can switch traits you have already unlocked, but what if the traits you need for your Trident/Speargun/Spear are not on the same traitline? Or what if the elite/utility skills you use don’t work underwater and you are forced to use others that don’t fit well with your build?
I personally know a lot of people that refrain from going underwater as much as possible just because their build is meant for a certain set of weapons and utility skills they can’t use in underwater combat.
Solution
Have a seperate traitline for underwater combat on a seperate page/tab. These will either consist of the same traits or totally new ones (whatever works best). Once you enter the water, the game switches to this traitline automatically. This way, we can use both our on-land/underwater weapons and utility skills with optimal efficiency.
Anyone agree? Opinions?

Yes would be nice. Because i use cond. dmg underwater and berserker set on land. I wouldnt change my armor cause of that but atleast the traits.

My Necromancer uses AoE (Marks/Wells) all the way, and is also specced for that. Underwater though, my build is.. not necessarily useless but it could have been so much better with the right traits.
Yes the idea is fine. I don’t like going underwater because I don’t like my weapons, and I can understand we need some different build underwater…
btw I wonder, trident and spear are considered two handed weapons, right? So the trait to reduce 2H weap cooldown works fine underwater, isn’t it?

Sure, there are traits who enhance underwater skills/weapons. I can easily make a build fit for underwater combat. The problem is, you can’t have a build that works great on both land and water (maybe there are a few. but that’s not enough). If I create an underwater build for my necro, my AoE build will be ruined.
