I have seen a few of the discussions on transmutation within the suggestion forums – however nothing specifically about accessibility, beside the guy who wanted an exchange system to be able to upgrade transmutation stones, to transmutation crystals. Which is a fantastic idea! However, I just think that transmutation is just not really accessible within game in a manner of speaking.
Although transmutation is quite widely used in a variety of MMO’s – within guild wars, beside grinding chests to find transmutaion crystals, there just isn’t that transmutation that is out there – I am definitely not saying make it free, and definitely not saying make it super cheap… but having transmutation crystals available ingame would really help with people choice to conserve a certain look, over just having gear for stats.
EXAMPLE – I really want to wear some of the Char Cultural Gear – however although 80 for a while I have only been able to collect about 4 or 5 transmutation crystals, which means to maintain that look over the different gear progressions, I would definitely need to come across more BL Keys and Chests. With the Tier 3 pieces ranging from 12gold to 30gold a piece the whole things becomes incredibly expensive! Being able to switch out gear and retain the CoF set look would also be nice…
so you get the jist – I think crystals should be available from in-game vendors, for something a tune of 5g a piece? It’s not super expensive, but it provides another balanced gold sink, that people can run dungeons for their gear and then just have to save 25g to move the set look to another armor set.
Transmutation and looking shiny/spiffy are key parts to most RPG players… and I am sure everyone wants to have the best looking gear (in their opinion) and be able to retain the stats of gear they need… without having to fork over an arm or leg.
please make transmutation more accessible and in the scale of things at the moment… a little cheaper (but not too CHEAP!)
