I’m not sure if there’s a similar suggestion up already. I couldn’t find one with the search function at least. Apologies if it’s been addressed already.

I’m a person who likes to switch out gear, try out new builds, new weapons and what not. But I also like maintaining the look I worked on. A look I’ve managed to get by running dungeons.

The problem I have is that I essentially “lose” gear if I were to transmute all the time, since two pieces become one. Wouldn’t it be much more ideal to preserve the original set and its stats? This would enable me to switch my gear around, keeping my desired look, while gaining the stats I wanted, without losing the previous set.

But then you add another set of whatever armor you had back into the economy, causing the prices of that armor to lower. I think the transmutation system acts a gold sink and I dont mind it.

Transmutation of an unbound item binds the item to you I believe.

I think a good solution here would be that when you transmute an item, you of course get the item with the selected properties, and the remaining properties combine to create a “leftover” item and both items are soulbound.
