Q:
Turning off legendary footfalls.
Press ` (the button left of 1)!
Hmm..i wield twilight and i dindt noticed any behavior like that. But personally i aim for ppl with legendaries as first targets. 90% of them are just bad.
I like the footprints.
Nobody can hide easily when they leave a trail of puke of glitter behind them, it`s like following a slug over a patch of salt >;p
That (& the mat`s don`t drop in WvWs nearly enough to make one) & I don`t like them
P.S. Why do dagger leg end prints last shorter?

Some proof please, Before this becomes a thread complaining about ugly footsteps
I’d like an option to turn off those footsteps for your own. So I don’t have to see the footsteps of those glowing childs. But this wouldn’t prevent other ppl from seeing “mine”.
And additionally, don’t allow this option for legendary-wielders, they have to see theit footsteps.
You can definitely see the marks, I`ve often found folk trying to hide due to them

Ooh a warrior vid, haven’t seen one of those in a while, I enjoyed it
@Nretep: I think it would make things a little complicated, Why not have a checkbox that would turn it off or on just like backpieces, helmets, shoulders and gloves?

because you wanted the legendary because of its visual effects. You’re not supposed to turn them off.

Yes, i wanted a legendary for it’s visual effects but that doesn’t mean there can’t be something wrong with it. The huge effects draw attention, I know they are ment to do that but it causes people to grief eachother. If some guy pulls out his twilight, you know who’s getting chased and killed seconds later. I’ve seen people take huge risks (running into enemy groups, jumping off cliffs and getting too close legendary defenders) Just to take out someone with a legendary. though, i don’t mind getting some enemy attention in WvW, I think being able to turn off the footfalls would reduce the grief. It will be diffrent for all the diffrent legendaries though, The footsteps on my Kudzu are bright green, Compared to the juggernaut’s footsteps, Kudzu’s footsteps seem like overkill to me.
You could always make an exotic version of the weapon with the same stats and swap it out when going to WvWvW.
I know that may defeat the purpose of having the Legendary in the first place, but if it’s causing you that many problems in WvW, it’s a possible solution.
Logic will never win an argument on the forums…..only a sense of entitlement will.
