Turret Cooldown Change
Honestly an ene isn’t THAT dependent on turrets to merit this. with a flamethrower, one can take up to 3 mobs at a time. Also, if you like turrets, the supply drop can be used while you wait for your main turrets to cooldown.
This is one of the reasons why engineers aren’t using turrets. In a game where mobility is important, a static turret is useless. Another reason is that they are super fragile. I personally only use the healing turret.
I seriously doubt most eng DON’T use turrets. Turrets, though static and easy to destroy (traits can beef them up tho), can save your butt. Sometimes they pull aggro, giving you time to regen your health, the thumper turret can send surrounding mobs flying, leaving you and another turret to deal more damage, the rocket turret can do an aoe attack, the rifle can bleed, the net can immoblize and the flame might burn (not sure i don’t really use the flame turret).
The turrets give a little extra damage which never hurts. There is no reason NOT to use them when you can, and personally, they play a key role at times when i’m soloing. I can solo 3 mobs at a time with just my flame thrower, but i can handle more with the turrets. They don’t seem to be for up front use, use them with more tactics in mind and you’ll see that they are fine the way they are.
Spread the turrets out and they can also support each other. You would be surprised what a pure turret build is capable of in sPvP. Allow a pure turret engineer to pick his place and set down his turrets without interuption (seriously not that hard) and you can build a web of damage people have issues dealing with. Just spread them out so you can’t aoe them down.
