The UI as is still needs many more customization options.

*All UI elements should be draggable and lockable.
*Items on the top of screen should be able to be moved to the bottom.
*Persistent messages like Living Story or Personal *Story as well as meta or heart events should be able to be moved or outright disabled from view.
*Inventory should be scalable and separate bags should have the option of being open independently.
*Move confirmation pop ups like the one in fractals to the side of the screen or to the bottom corners and make it smaller. (Having my chest blocked with a forced overlay at the end of every fractal is obstructive)
*Add 1 or 2 hot keys for items (Leaving my bags open to use items is cumbersome)

Overall the UI is absent customization options and does not match the standard of today’s games with it’s lack of functionality and control. If you are not interested in opening it up to MODs then add some base level control over placement locking and scaling.

I support this post!
In most MMOs i play, i like to have 2 chat windows. 1 for region chat, /say, NPC chat, etc. The 2. one for more important channels like guild, party and whispers. It’s also very limited where i can place the one chat window we do have.
Something else i’d like to see, is the option to change text colours in the chat window.

The group icons are a little too far to the left for me to easily keep track of the health of the group members. It would be nice to be able to drag them a little closer to the middle of the screen.

I know Anet said they wanted us to play the game and not the UI, but some basic customization would only improve the game.

Top of the window? There isn’t really anything in there.

Scalable? How would that be different from the current resizing? Also, what do you mean by “open idependently”? Like in separate windows? Because you can close the bags already.

Here I have to disagree. Important pop ups like that need to be visible. Otherwise you’ll just miss it.

The thing is, there are no bugs in the current system. Adding new stuff is very likely to add some bugs. And let’s be honest, bug fixing should take priority over quality-of-life additions.

I know games where your inventory is tied to the same window where you change your character’s equipment, all while not being resizable at all. Not to mention lacking any kind of automatic sorting of drops to specific areas of the inventory.

Here I have to disagree. Important pop ups like that need to be visible. Otherwise you’ll just miss it.

The position of your selected target can at times get in the way.
you also can`t click through them, so when trying to place something & that gets in the way, it for some bizarre reason shifts your marker to where your skills bar is.
Whilst probably not so much in PvE, in WvWs that combined with the score bar at the top, can stop you from being able to target or place some ground marked AoEs at times.

As for the request/pop ups, these seriously need a working over, whether it is not to appear when in combat or preferably a save to wherever the player wants them to pop up….

In Guild Wars 1, Skill Bar, mini-map, well pretty much everything was movable, I would like that in this game to.
I would also like the mini- map in one of the upper corners and the mini-map drag feature to have an off setting.

Do I have a plan?
