Re posting this thread as the original one was hijacked and trolled into a subject that was totally unrelated to the idea, the original one has been removed by myself and restarted here:

Just a simple request even though I already know what the answer will most probably be as EU servers are supposed to be English based.
The main problem I have found is that even though EU servers are English based we do in fact have a great deal of players whom are not conversed in English, this becomes more prominent in things Like WvWvW as players can not understand one another.
This can also be seen in the rankings, as most of the lowest servers are EU with a couple of exceptional EU servers higher up the table.
Now Germany, Spain and France have their own servers, would be at all possibly for UK/Ireland to have just at least two new servers with their flag on and an extra Spanish server to make up the third for WvWvW matchups.
I say new servers as not to alienate any of the existing EU servers from being converted to a UK/Ireland server.
The server names could even be called, “Emerald Sound” “Avalon Hold” and " Toro Glade".
To be quite honest on the EU side of WvWvW the UK/Ireland players really do need this or even better to give each nation their own servers as so many other MMO’s do.
I personal feel that Anet are missing out on a wider audience by not having nation based servers as this would increase player loyalty and even some great rivalry between servers of certain nations

I would personally hate being in a Danish server. And it would be a shame if British, Scots and Irish people were out of the mix of people I could potentially meet.

I can fully understand where your coming from and maybe I have worded it wrongly.
What I am trying to state is that it would be nicer that each language had it’s own server in a way.
Yes keep the EU servers for those whom like the mix but add in servers which are more specific language based with the flags.
I myself am not conversant in French, German, Italian, Croatian or any other language as I am sure there are many that are not conversant in English.
As we know English, German, French and Spanish are the predominant European languages I find it hard to understand that Anet didn’t use a little foresight and also give English it’s own servers rather than group English in with the EU grouping.
Yes I know there are US servers but I don’t want to play on the US time frame.

I agree with you wanting Ireland as i’m Irish but adding more realms/servers would be not so good in my opinion.

Why?:
It would spilt more people up, less people would be in the world which is not good.

As Anet don’t release weekly login numbers for each server we could argue that even though some servers are full, many players have left or are even to put it nicely casual players that just login for a couple of hours on a weekend, it’s really hard for us the players to fully judge that status.
Yes some have a very low population in PvE yet have a huge population in PvP/WvW and visa versa, it’s mix and match really and the only people whom really know the true numbers is Anet themselves.
Would 3 extra server be harmful, I tend to think not really if they do base them on 2 English and 1 extra Spanish server, as some will move to the new ones and other will remain put happy where they are, in the end it’s down to personal choice.
Should it be the case that the lowest 3 populated server are so sparsely populated then maybe a switch for them to the suggestion of this topic might bring some new life to them.
In the end the final word will be Anets and not ours but as they have stated to myself in a mail This forum is the only place they will gauge any suggestion for it merit and interest of the players

You’re right mate i would like to see that, but I would also like to see the British flag instead of the American because it was our fore farther who created the English language. I would be saying this myself but i am unfamiliar with the forum and do not know how to do so. GG

desolation has a large UK playerbase; at headstart everyone i talked to was from the UK and it seems to still be mainly british
(im english/scottish… but live in england, and cant understand what my scottish relatives are saying… but im going off on a tangent… so ill stop)
