Unacceptable Details
Actually, in that pic of yours, the scepter is still there. Albeit, quite difficult to see, because of the colouring. It’s the HoM scepter, no?
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
Yes that pic is casting lighting spell, when you cast a earth spell for example, skill 1 earth the same scepter disapear, and yes is a HoM scepter.
Ugh, sorry, misread your post. Maybe you should have used the Earth one as an example to illustrate the disappearing?
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
Look the same movement casting earth spell, skill 1, the scepter disapear, and weapons disapear in other professions too
i kinda wish the ele could do magic without a weapon. just the hands. idk, my own opinion. makes it more like they have the magic inside themselves rather than through what they wield. but yeah, i understand where you’re coming from. i also wish arcane magic was its own attunement
Hmm, I don’t see why the scepter would disappear — I assume this is a graphical glitch? It will probably be fixed at some point. For now, be happy the skill actually works. :-P
@ blakkrskyrr: Maybe a staff, scepter, or some other item is required to focus/channel/direct the elementalist’s power, so it manifests into a spell rather than (possibly dangerous) magic “noise.” Or, it could be like playing a musical instrument — your knowledge and skill are what allow you to play it, but no matter how good a musician you are, the guitar sounds don’t come out of you directly.
As for “arcane” being its own magic type — maybe if they make a full-blown Mage class in some future expansion, you’ll get what you wish for. However, the emphasis of the class is on controlling the elements through magic, and adding a fifth attunement would probably overcomplicate and/or overpower the class.
