Would it really hurt for the exotic versions of the Prototype Fractal Capacitor to have an upgrade slot? I realize that the main point of these items is that they can upgraded to an ascended version. However, they still cost 1,350 tokens. That’s a huge time investment compared to other dungeon items. It would be really nice if they could be useful while we farmed the remaining 500 tokens for the Gift of Ascension. As it stands, a rare backpiece with a gem in it is superior, which just doesn’t seem right given the relative effort involved to acquire them.

Is this a known bug or is this done on purpose? I know when you upgrade it will have the correct stat number as if a gem was put into it but before infusing it it is not better than a rare backpiece w/gem.

Seems kinda weird that you would spend 1350 relics to have an item sit in your bank because you have to farm out another 500 tokens and get 250 globs among the other things.

Just be nice to use it during the grind instead of looking at it when I drop stuff off in the bank.

WTF are you on about mix… it cost only the gift (500 fractal relics) and ONE Vial of Condensed Mists Essence, and then either 40 crystal or 240 Philosopher’s Stone depending on what kind of infusion slot you take, wouldn’t really call it a grind to get the first upgrade, the 250 ecto is first for the 2nd upgrade, but after first upgrade it is already vastly superior to rare or even exotics backpieces with a gem in it, and all the 2nd upgrade gives you is +5AR, which shouldn’t be needed beyond the higher lvl’s of fractals

STill yeah it would be nice if the exotic version at least had a slot for a gem to make it usefull over the even rare with a gem slotted
