Guild Wars 2

Am I the only one who thinks using Facebook/Twitter etc should be the SECONDARY source of information when it comes to GW2? This happened with the Lost Shores Event as well as today’s downtime. Checked the New and Updates forum and the Frontpage to see nothing mentioned. Found out through Reddit a few hours later after giving up.

Uhm…yeah. The official website is useless for update information because somehow (and incompetence is the only word that springs to mind), if the game servers are down, so is the main webpage. You can only get to the forums if you bookmarked the page or google it.

Yeah, even with the site up you can never find what you need, during the Halloween event I couldn’t figure out if some of the events were broken, which they DID announce on twitter but I didn’t look there, similar thing with the lost shores event(s)
