Please, please, please make these a karma product again. They are need in a lot of different recipes, mainly in desserts, but have a horrible drop/obtain rate. I am well aware that I could just go to the trading post to buy some, but the price is outrageous. Even if I wanted to sell the finished product, it still isn’t very profitable. I would just like to be able to buy these from the NPCs again; not being able to is severely getting in the way of leveling cooking.

They changed the frequency of harvesting Vanilla Beans in the Oct. 22nd update.
“Increased the chance to get vanilla beans from herb nodes in the Tarnished Coast and Steamspur Mountains.”

I’m guessing the change was not large enough to address your concern?

Not really; and at around 3 silver a bean, it’s not worth the investment to buy them either to craft my treats. It’s actually a little cheaper to just buy the finished product than to buy the beans…

i’m earning loads by farming them
just go into metrica province and harvest all the herb seedlings
