I’m just going to flat out offer a list of all the things that I believe would improve this game. Please excuse me if they are already in the game… I’ve been playing since the day of release, and I’m -still- finding new things.
-Guild Notifications: A player has come online? What ever happened to that. I don’t like the idea of having to add them to my friends list just to know when they log in, or log off.
-Arenas: I know you created this custom Arena type thing where players can ‘rent’ land, or something to that affect. But what of being able to queue for smaller sized PvP battles? I know I, and many others that I’ve spoken to regarding this would love the idea of smaller scale destruction. It’s a whole new ball game when it’s you, and one person, two people, or maybe four more people, against another team of the same size.
-Guild Pane: When someone was last online, or which characters they have in the guild. I’d make my job as a Guild Officer much more easy if that was put in.
-Looking For Group: This is already in the game… But it might as well not be considering how many people don’t even know it exists. It needs to be made known, and I would love to see some improvements. Perhaps a section for dungeons, so you can more easily find others who are interested in doing said dungeons. Maybe a tag next to your LFG that signifies that you are willing to lead the instance. Who knows? So much could be added, and changed.
-Trading Post: By all means… It’s an amazing feature. A bit buggy with pane switching, but nothing that can’t be worked around. But, what -really- bugs the -hell- out of me, is that I can’t preview an item before I buy it. I’m the kind of person that doesn’t want some butt ugly piece of clothing, or weapon, if I can just buy a different one with the same stats. You can preview from any other location… So this is why I’m confused. Fix? Or add… Don’t know which. Also… The option to select whether the chest piece you’re searching for is light, medium, or heavy, would be nice. I really hope this doesn’t exist already… And I’m just too stupid to see it.
-Instance Kicking: Players DC… It happens whether it’s the fault of the game, or their internet. My issue with this all is when I’m in a Story Quest… And then I DC? I want to get back into that instance, and continue that story, rather than having to start from the beginning. Perhaps put a timer on the instance so it’ll stay open for five minutes, or so. I’d make things a lot easier, and it wont trash people’s motivation if they are having issues with keeping a consistant internet connection.
-Customization: I assume this is already being worked on… But nevertheless, this is where I’m putting -all- of my ideas, and suggestions. I want to be able to change my hair, kitten And facial hair…
-Town Clothing: As far as I can see, if you want different town clothing, you’re kitten out of luck, other than buying the miniscule number of options they have on the Gem store. I understand that taking people’s armor, and putting it into the Town Clothing slots just a way to extend your inventory space… But what if when you put it into the Town Clothing slots… the stats erase? I feel as though there are ways you could get around this.
-Glow: The Sylvari glow… Really cool. But is it just me… Or is it that when you create a Sylvari, and change the glow, you don’t get to preview it? I had no idea what the glow was until I actually already created my Sylvari, and saw it.
Other than that, if I think of something else, I’ll be sure to post it here. Many might think some of these things are so small in comparison to other ideas… But the reality is, the details of a game can make it, or break it.
- Being able to see my Name and Guild over my head as an option
- /afk working and shows up by name/guild that I am AFK for myself and others to see (think of those complaining of rezzing AFK toons)
