Unfortunately such a change would likely mean it would be abused by players, since you become Invulnerable while viewing a Vista. They’d just have one player constantly view the Vista in order to become an invincible target to distract a Champion while everybody else pounds on them. (And if the Champion switches targets, the new target runs up and triggers the Vista.)

so long as the mobs are not normally by the vista or cannot reach it, get to where you could otherwise view it, logout then log back on again to clear the aggro. Haven’t tried it a lot but it definitely did the trick for a couple vistas

I agree here, The only time I have had issue is when the mob’s don’t leash and disengage based on height. I can be away from an enemy high up and can’t activate the vista because i’m stuck in combat or with my ranger, pet has aggro and of course because you can’t just stow them you have to basically log off and log back in just to lose aggro because for some reason enemies unable to reach you doesn’t disengage combat >.<

What’s annoying about the unability of viewing a vista while in combat is when playing a thief. If you used the #5 dagger ability for cloaking to come through masses of mobs (for example on Orr) you won’t get out of battle until the mob you used the ability on died or you ran over half the map. m thief was standing at vistas several times not being able to view it – then coming up to my mind: “Gawd, you did it again Oo”
