I appreciate all of the hard work put into the various character voice emotes in combat and when interacting with NPCs in the world, such as merchants.
However, it seemed a bit odd to me that my Charming type character and my Barbaric type character both shared the same generic voice emotes when greeting or exiting conversation with NPCs. Both were very polite, and my notably 100% barbaric human woman was saying things such as: “My pleasure.” or “Thank you.” and such. I felt it seemed far more fitting for a kinder, more charming character.
I suppose it’s asking for a very big favor, but I think it would be interesting to have our character generic combat and NPC interaction emotes reflect a varied spectrum depending on what type of character you have. I’d feel more natural playing my barbaric type woman if she perhaps snarled more at people or was more dismissive in her emotes. Perhaps more notably ferocious in battle.
Anyway, thank you sincerely for hearing me out, and kudos to Anet for making such a wonderful game.
