As we all know, the amount of people with commander is on the rise. Most of them are terrible.

The vote to demote system involves a temporary lock of the commander feature when a commander reaches a certain number of votes to demote. let’s say a 24-48h freeze and maybe 35 down votes.

this way, the commantards in LA that nobody likes will be instantly silenced, and the terrible commanders in WvWvW will be silenced until they get their skills up to snuff.

if you get demoted, then you know you have things to work on for the future. it’s the perfect idea to make sure people are actually using the icon as it was intended.

before it get anywhere near decent it need to be based on a certain amount of % of total ppl that is currently in the map, not a fixed number, you know the big guilds out there could easily field 2-3 times your 35 ppl just to demote a commander for lols

you’re right, but the number has to be something large enough to make it somewhat difficult to do but also not impossible to achieve. i don’t know how many people are on a map at one time.

Yeah, if someone makes another guy mad I think he might be able to get his friends to down vote the guy for no reason.

the number of ppl on the map doesnt really matter just have to be a % number of the ppl on th map at the time the vote is going one (and limiting it per guild is not doing anything either, since you could just make several guils and split your members across it. i would say something like 65-70% or ppl on the map at that time sound about fair, that is quite a bit above half and if over half the population dont want him to lead it seem fine that he dont get to, and at the same time it high enough that ignorant ppl still dont get in the way of the legit votes

that’s not a solution to the problem of the ones in LA and also a poor one for WvWvW.

not really, dont follow, and if its something to do with confusion when having 2 commanders join ones squad.

if a commander keeps dying, failing and generally doing a poor job and no one is following them other people will stop aswell.

But yes they can be a pain pulling a few with them, but i think this idea isnt the way to go about it.
