I keep seeing bot clusters (1, 2) around the world, staying in one spot autoattacking thin air to pull in nearby mobs, and sometimes in the middle of a fast-repeating DE area.

I’d like to request a way to report the entire mass of them, rather than individually. Reporting a player for botting individually apparently goes into ANet’s database of players to investigate, and ANet has to gather data and do their due dilligence before taking any action, and it takes forever.

But a bot cluster is so obviously botting that there’s no need to investigate further. Just read the bot cluster reports, log in to a GM toon, fast travel to the location, see them, and insta-ban them all. At most, cross-reference their names with accounts that have been stolen so you can return any that need to be.

The bot clusters are much bigger annoyance than individual bots, but also much easier to recognize, verify, and ban, if there were just an easy way for players to report them as such. Perhaps add a Botting/Bot Cluster option to the bug report tool (which is what I’ve started using anyway, under General PvE/Environment/Exploitable Issue).

I would like to second this request. Last night in the southern Dredgehaunt Cliffs between Firebase Molek and Fridgardr Lodge, we spotted two individual bot clusters running around a certain area on a set path, attacking random mobs on their way, looting, then continuing on their run. We called them bot trains as they were like running on rails!

They had about 5 toons each, of the same type – one with 5 warriors, one with 5 rangers. One train had arbitrary names like sbzeshwk while the other train had names like Taotao Wu, Taotao No, Taotao Yes and so on. It would have been nice indeed to report the whole connected train together though, as tehy were certainly operated and controlled from a single location.
