Want more weapon skills :(
The 5 weapon skills bring competitive action to the game.. more variety will bring more unbalance between the existing classes.. but I can understand ur point.

What would be nice is if they have special weapons that comes with one of their own weapon skill that would replace one of yours (most likely slot 3).
It would be nice to have more variety in skills. I don’t think we should have more at a time, but adding a few weapons to classes that seem like they should be able to use them would be nice. I’d like to see elementalists be able to use torches, rangers able to use rifles, and engineers able to use hammers. Adding a few more utility skills and another elite to each class would also be great.

Why don’t you try an elementalist or engineer?
There weapon skills change a lot due to element/kit
I thought this too, and with how much the development of your character was story based why not reward players with story unlocked skills. nothing too serious so the players who prefer to grind wont be left out, but if my story takes a dark path I feel my combat style should reflect that.
Few weapon skills is why i lost motivation of playing its simply to monotone and boring. I even changed main pve weapon but didn’t take long until i got bored of those skills also. I think fun should be a more important factor than balance when it comes to the point where you are just ending up hitting 1 over and over hitting the same target.
would be cool if they gave u say 3 options for each slot and you can only use one as part of your build. Would add alot more depth to builds I feel.

Alot more people would stop playing if things were totally unbalanced than if they didnt add new skills.
i wish more weapon skill too, because for now devs have decided our combat style by the weapon that we are using.
But
- What if i want only a weapon with control purposes and only the autoattack for damage?
- What if a want a weapon with fast CD abilities(maybe with less damage per skill)
- What if i want only heavy hitting skills with long CD?
- What if a want to mix this combat styles to create my own combat style?

First weapon there is called warrior 2 handed hammer.
Second: Up next it’s thief! It’s called the Unload/repeater dual guns specc. it’s tons of fun and is basically popping invisible and repeater whenever your out of points to use unload..You are basically a standstill machinegun.
third – that’s also something alot of classes can do, It’s called speccing damage over the 20% faster weapon attack/spell traits on any class..But no one does that do they?
4th – A mix of all these combat styles..So you want to mix a heavy hitting control warrior with an offhand basically being an anything thief. – Just pick one..I can only speak for necromancers / warriors / rangers and thieves as i have yet to really level up another class but i have to say, I have had alot of fun by mixing them up cause if you know what your doing. a weapon change can mean your entire toolbar and traits change and even your entire playstyle in some cases.
