Hey lovers.

My suggestion is: Send out a warning for minor offenses, such as a fart, burp or if you bump into an angry person. 71hour bans without warning for such an insignificant thing, is not fair in anyway at all.
In my understanding the “report” option is just an easy way for you to say “goodbye for 3 days” to someone who made the slightest mistake.

I for once would take the hint if I got a warning and consider it for next time.

You wouldn’t have to deal with people being furious about being treated horribly, and you wouldnt have to bother with a bunch of tickets that you stated somewhere, that you’ll just ignore anyways. So everbody wins? So please make sending a warning, a thing!

(And yes Im being serious. I think it’s a problem that we don’t get warned before banished from the game for 3 whole days for something small.)

Have a good one.

You WERE warned. …Or didn’t you read the Terms of Service and the Code of Conduct that you agreed to before entering the game? Ignorance is not a defense.

But they COULD have other “punishments” depending on the severity and type of infraction. Muting your character is an option for verbal abusers. And for repeat offenders I suggest a place all their own. Lump all the three-strikers into one server where they can be the dregs of society to their heart’s content. (Picture the movie “Escape from New York”.) They would be unable to transfer out without permission from ANet). They would be happier amongst their own kind. (And if not, who cares?) WE would certainly be happier without them in our servers. And ANet would still be able to sell them expansions and Gem Store stuff. Win/win/win.

Do you seriously not know what a warning is…? Or are you just trying to kiss their…..nvm.

No I WASN’T warned. Sure I read the ToS, but we mess around with friends and whatnot in game anyways. Everyone in game has tried saying something offensive as some point (or at least the majority) only they havent said it to someone who took advantage of it to get you banned so they could have a laugh.

A WARNING, is them saying “Stop insulting people, or we will have to punish you” or as you said, mute me. 71hours ban for saying an itty bitty word to someone who insulted you int he first place is outrageous. It’s not okay in any way.

Hamfast sums it up well: Ignorance is not a defense.

Additionally, people are far too inconsiderate of others in-game these days as a naturally trend, which in itself is the ‘softening’ nature of these MMOs. This complaint of yours is somewhat of a flow-on effect of that, if you look cryptically at it.
