Warping to Lion’s Arch should be free. This would encourage the cities as focal points even more, and would allow people who have run out of silver to get back home.

Its already free to go to lion’s arch through the mists, why make it so difficult? Why not just make warping to Lion’s arch free? We can already warp there from any point on the map through the mists for free as much as we want.

Go to wVwVw and port to LA.

I agree, since you can already travel to Lion’s Arch for free.
Maybe just give each race a free teleport directly to the trade areas of their respective capital? This way, it would encourage to keep all cities “alive”.

Ya I can see porting to major cities being free…..but no more! It gets silly if we cna port to a lvl 80 area in and out for free.

read the post. this is why i suggest it be free. It already is, its just 2 loading screens instead of being 1 loading screen if we could warp directly there.

To any city should be free. That would reduce the amount of times people get overflow in Lion’s Arch, as people passes by just to go to somewhere else.

Just so you guys know, there are asura gates all over the world. If you take the time to learn where they are, you can travel anywhere for under 2 silver at level 80 (which shouldn’t be a big deal). Here’s an example: If you’re in the brand and want to get back to Lion’s Arch, there is a gate in the southern half of the Brand. This gate sends you to Divinity’s Reach. From there, you can get to Lion’s Arch for free.

If loading screens are a problem, maybe you should look into getting a decent computer. Just sayin.

The Asura won’t like this suggestion one bit. Their livelihood comes from taxing the pants off of adventurers. I mean look at all the bling they can afford now thanks to their massive tollbooth system. I feel furious!

Yeah I agree, I never port to LA directly. I always go to the mists and then run through the portal. So going to LA is effectively “free” right now…why even bother with charging at this point? It’s just forcing players to go through another loading screen.

A similar idea was mentioned on reddit, I’m not sure if you’re coming from there. I think it’s a great idea, a similar thing can be done for other cities too but maybe only if you have 100 % completion in that city.
