Warrior Down Sate

Vengeance available straight away would be way too powerful if you consider the trait Sweet Revenge. Heck, it’s still pretty powerful as it is.

You cant compare going back to life, allowing you to ress allies, kill foes, even LOOT, lol, do w/e you want, to vapor form where all you can do is run away.
Most classes won’t be able to get their “2nd save” skill of in a 1v1 situation unless a teammate also interrupts, or the enemy doesn’t go straight for you.
Thief: Can shadowstep away, but stealth cooldown is too long to cast before enemy runs to you to finish.
Necro: Doesn’t even have a 2nd save skill, just aoe damage. First skill is just single target fear any way, just as effective as warrior knock-down. Warrior downstate probably better in this situation.
Sure, some downstates are better, but warrior definitely isn’t the worst at the moment
You also have to think about not just finishers. In many cases it is just better to dps kill a thief or mesmer since they die very quickly in downstate. Warriors take longer to dps kill, and if you don’t go for the stomp right away, or are interrupted by another teammate, warrior WILL vengeance.
Vapor Form doesn’t kill you when it ends, however. Advantage goes to Elementalist. That said, I don’t think the Warrior downed state is nearly as bad as, say, the Necromancer downed state. Vengeance is pretty awesome, and while I think its charge time should probably be reduced a little, I don’t think it’s a real issue.

How is an ability you never get to use “pretty powerful”? You have no way to stop people finishing you off if they are more than one and it takes a month to charge up.

The comparison isn’t really fair I agree: Vapour Form is way better. It makes you immune to damage and conditions like Stun or Immobilize, guaranteeing an escape if you’re fighting near a Keep/Tower. Heck, most of the time you will be saved as long as you can rush into your friendly zerg.
In Vengeance you can be controlled and promptly beaten to death within a second of rising. There’s no way you’ll escape. And even if you do, by some miracle… did I mention that you still die when it ends?

I’d take vengence over the crappy teleport thieves get when downed. Atleast during vengence/vapor form you can move/jump and get around. Teleport gets blocked by the smallest of steps/obstacles.
break. I feel like they should be back by now..”
I’m sure you’d take Vapour Form (who wouldn’t?) but Vengeance? You’d get so frustrated with never being able to use it that you’ll be begging to get your fast-charging teleport back, trust me.

Depends on what the fight is. In wvW, when downed you pretty much stay downed. Hardly find people raising one another until a few straggelers behind the zerg notice them. In spvp or tpvp, you usually get enough time to activate that vengence and start your reign of terror.

Engineer downed skills more worser, so stop whine

Yes but warrior downed is so much useful, mostly in PvE, in sure u can use it in PvP as well, but eles only have vapor form. As a warrior you have this awesome vengeance and also an interrupt so you have to compare vapor form vs those two… Number 3 of eles is a joke.
Yes, I am not arguing for PvE, but for PvP.
“Awesome Vengeance”? You never get to use it! Whatever awesome qualities it might have are irrelevant when you’re always finished off before it becomes available. It is like it doesn’t exist in WvW/sPvP.
The Interrupt is not awesome either; it is single-target. It needs to be made like the Guardians big shield thing; interrupt everyone trying to finish you off. You knock one guy down only to have three of his mates already doing the finishing off animation. Woo…

If that were the case, Warriors would all spec Sweet Revenge, knock everyone back, buy themselves enough time to use Vengeance and kick someone’s kitten insta-rally. Hello unstoppable Warriors.

Except that Vengeance does not give you immunity to damage nor conditions.
You’ll be put back into the ground faster than you can blink.

Excuse me? No healing skill, even Healing Surge, will put you back at full Health.
Good try though. Next time play a Warrior first.
