Hi, I though of something really cool that could be added into the Map, a favorites list, here you can set a favorite waypoint that you frequently use such as the “Trader’s Forum Waypoint”, this is so that every time i want to go there i can just click the waypoint in the small favorites box at bottom left (or somewhere), this will save me time to actually find the small waypoint on the big map, here is an example, I want to use the mystic forge from Brisban Wildlands, instead of zooming all the way out then find the waypoint, i can simply click the waypoint at the bottom left of my screen, saving me valuable time looking for it.
Thanks for your time.

I love this idea, btu here is the problem, you already have people that ask for these sorts of things 3 months ago. ( really just go through the forums 3 months ago you will see things that have been put in 26mar2013 that people were asking about.) Now when you look all you have is people being rude to the Dev team calling them stupid and incompetent.

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Turn-off-Titles-below-Nameplate/page/2#post1728205

Just read that thread, people had been asking for titles to be shown on name plates since month 2, when they get it look what happens.

So I support your idea, downside is after that feed back I would be hard press to do anything cosmetic for players if I was a Dev. I mean a red poster came on and apologized and the next post was a user be little them.

People would certainly use that to quickly run away within WvW.
So such a thing would have to be disabled for WvW.
Only cowards run away when they see enemies that may outnumber them, the same way only cowards fight when outnumbering the enemy.
In fact, opening your map or scrolling the minimap in WvW should make you stop walking too, because the last thing we need is another cowardly action available to all them cowards in WvW.
And so such an option should not be available for WvW.

For PvE that’ll be nice and fine. Everyone has a few waypoints and asura gates they use way more than others.

Your ideals of coward’s are shocking, Even Sun Tzu ( which I feel confident in say was a better tactician than you ) would disagree.

In war the person that runs form the 500 man army when he is only one is the smart one. The army that chases down the one spy and kills him is the Victor. But that is your views no matter how twisted they are.

In fact your 100% wrong

Hit “R” and you auto run, then hit “M” and you open map double click on the 1 waypoint you can ( maybe 2 or 3 depending on what you have )

You don’t (usually) die in videogames. You don’t really lose real life resources. It’s all virtual with no real life consqueneces.
So real life doesn’t apply.
Cowards in videogames maximize numeric values for themselves at the cost of everyone else’s enjoyment of the game.
They’ll avoid fight so they don’t have to pay for armor repairs.
They will hunt and take advantage of weaker enemies so they’ll get more Badges of “honor”. They care more about their own numbers than everyone’s fun.
That is cowardly
What’s honorable is fighting in equal footage, in equal numbers, and to the end, without hiding or running away.

The Zaishen should participate more in WvW and make something to enforce actual honor in WvW. Really.

Anyways. I’m not wrong. I’m stating what should happen, not “what happens” or “what must happen”. A subjunctive “should”.

Well I respect the fact you have your own opinion, no matter how much I think it is zealous and overbearing.

Regardless of it being a video game or not, Wv3 is a platform that promotes winning, just like in a war in real life. If retreating to fall back to a larger group saves you and pulls the enemy forces to the larger group that was a successful Fient and draw. If your running alone or with 2 friends and you see a horde of 20+ people and expect them not to try and kill you, then Wv3 is not for you. Be it a video game or not, If I saw a enemy soldier with my squad and we out manned him by 5, we are going to shot him if it is a war. ( and before you pull the that isn’t how it works in the real military I am a Vet of the US Army Rangers 75th Reg 2nd Bat )

Point is in the mass combat field there are tactics that are used in real life that are applied to the game. Just because it is a game doesn’t make it any less effective. Just because it is a game doesn’t mean anyone likes to die, maybe you like running into groups of 5 + when your alone the yelling at the screen how they are all cowards because 4+ of them didn’t stand there and watch you kill their buddy. Although I assume over 99.999% of the rest of the players would just call that a stupid choice.

Glad this is staying on topic. :P

I think this is a good idea.
Even in WvW, it doesn’t make a difference because you can keep a waypoint linked in your chat if you really want right now.

“I reject your reality and substitute my own.”
