Since the game is funded almost solely through gem store purchases I think there could be a few more enticing things in the store for players to purchase.

The store already has multiple cosmetic items such as armor skins and actual character cosmetics like hair changes or body type changes, but i feel like its missing some things.

Exclusive emotes could be a really entertaining thing to add in. I know many players would enjoy having some extra flashy emotes they could perform with their characters while in groups or just hanging out with friends.

Of course emotes aren’t the only thing missing. I feel like character customization could go so much further.

Maybe Glowing Eyes or Subtle Player auras. Or even different animations for certain moves. For guardians perhaps instead of fire all their flame moves could have Light animations. And Necros could have different Pet skins they could purchase. Engineers could have specialized turrets. Just a few spur of the moment examples. From my experience in other games I’ve played one thing stands out above any other aspects of an MMO. The lengths players will go to in order to stand out and feel unique are immense. So this is definitely something I would enjoy seeing at some point in the game.

Like I said these are just examples. I would love to see more ideas on character personalization.

This exactly. I for one want more clothing, and somewhere to store it that is not my bank. I would be spending much more money on gems if the store was actually offering things I wanted.

so long as the changes stay only cosmetic to the look of what’s being altered… the flesh golem and shade need to stay “flesh golem” and “shades” and the same for engi turrets, but look alterations to those skills, or attack animations could be viable I think. Flip side is that currently I think the reasoning behind such specific alterations not being put in is because I already push crashing just trying to log in when i park in LA, and while my rig isn’t uber by any standard, it’s no dinosaur or el-cheapo either, and so many specific things having to be loaded into small spaces (wvw zergs, orrian temples, the area around the mytic toilet in LA) will only slow things down that much more without also adding a way for me to turn off seeing specific effects like those comming from other characters (without killing my ability to see other particles completely).

But yes, so far as it only alters looks, not functions…its something that might add some flavor to the gem store… just have a way to switch back and forth easily like the current finishers page in the achievements window

Good point about the loading. I’m from a bottom tier server and overcrowding isn’t an issue for us at all so I didn’t even think about it.

i would love fencing sword animations for mesmer… they already exist on mai trinn boss… and it makes me jealous…

Cultural differences for Engineer kits so (for instance) my Asura Engineer can run around with a flamethrower that looks like it was engineered in Rata Sum instead of some human slum.

And it seems parts of such items already exist, like this Asura flamethrower in the screenshot below:
