No, “we” dont want mounts. you people who can’t use the search bar want mounts…. seriously wish those who failed to use the search bar in the forums got a 1 month suspension from using the forums.

Be glad we arn’t using the word “kitten”, and never repost this again. Now type mounts in the search bar of yours in the forum, and look for a post named “Mounts Merged” or something along the lines of it. post your ridiculous fantasies there.

I don’t want mounts for one simple reason.It takes developer time which can be used somewhere else.There are a lot better and more important things to do/fix before mounts ever see the light.I want the time developers spend to be on something more usefull.
With how waypoints currently work i personally don’t need and I don’t want a mount.When i’m in a map and i’m porting from one waypoint to the nearest waypoint it’s instant so why would i want mount?If mounts are added they must not be faster than your normal swiftness running speed.I don’t want mounted players to have an advantage from the running ones.
Also if they are ever added in the game i don’t want them usable nor in the cities nor in the dungeons.It will be too overcrowded.
This is coming from a person who had 143 mounts when i was still playing WoW at the end of Cataclysm.I was,I am and I will be a mount loverI just don’t see their use right now in the game.
What i may want is an improved logging screens when i port from other map and removing the need to enter through logging screen when i pass on foot from one map to other.Keep the overflow but hide the logging screen.Now that will improve my playing time.Even if mounts are added logging screens will still bother me if they stay like this.

The Mounts [Merged] thread is Full and can’t be posted into and upon search will not be found.
I wish the lot of you, would stop bashing people who make a new thread, because what I have seen is new names doing it and they don’t know any better. Have some tact, tell them nicely or there will be repercussions. If the topic bothers you so much don’t bother to post in them unless you are gonna do it in a civil manner.
You know what would be nice is for them to make it so that when you are creating a thread and you start typing in the topic name, it would auto direct you to the most recent topics on the subject , before you create the new one. Which might lead to some people not bashing others for not knowing.

They have never said that there will “never” be any mounts in GW2. If you have something that proves this otherwise, please by all means share the link. Or better yet an official statement from Arenanet, to end the mindless debate. I am all for mounts, no matter what happens, but for them to let parts of the community sqwabble over the topic, when they could conclude it with a firm answer.
why all mmos must have all the same features?
is it so disturbing not having a mount? especially in a world were maps are not that huge and you can run in a matter of minutes from one end to another regardless waypoints?
the only think it would add would be people running inside the bank in LA on a horse or worse on a moa

Well….I really don’t want to feed the trolls but we all know how hard it is to resist that. Its not for me to decide, its the majority, and the majority has spoken. And there are already cosmetic mounts, Broomstick is one if you count it, but you probably don’t. So since its already in game this can now die according to your own words. Dream further? That logic works both ways:
They never said they would ever add mounts either.
There are plenty of us who do not want mounts, and ANet has to take us into consideration, unlike you and your lot.
The game is designed without mounts, just like how it was designed without a subscription fee.
Adding it without extensive re-designing of the feature (compared to other games like WoW) would be nonsensical.
Example 1: Realistic Mounts
Mounts that weren’t collectible.
They would require a fee to use, require feeding to sustain, and ultimately weren’t sustainable for long-term use. Their only real benefit for short-distance travel around a zone and some small combat raid-style / ride-into-battle benefit.
Example 2: Town Mounts
Mounts that could only be used while wearing Town Clothes; and only available through the Gem Store.
They would be purely for showing off, and would move slower then walking pace (to allow onlookers to see it better. The mounts would have saddles and decorations to match Town Clothes sets from the Gem store.
Oh, and one already exists, as mentioned above: THE BROOMSTICK.

You alone are not the majority, nor are we. There is as Gummy says above absolute no clear final saying about, that there will be NEVER Mounts. Just only maybe, that there will be no mounts for now – thats all. And for now, this decision might be good, because surely there are other topics, which have higher priority. But priorities can change over time. Don’t forget that.
If you would just look at it, then you should realize, that mounts have a great demand. Nothing else besides them gets asked everywhere so much in all kinds of languages in the forums, and you are talking of a “majority”, that has spoken?? Don’t make me laugh. Its way more people posting in forums, which do want to have in any kind of way mounts implemented, than people, posting that they are against them in overall.

And by the way… yet it is.. its a massive feeling of like something is missing, especially for RP’ers and those who want to travel in maps a bit faster, than just running without using waypoints and without having to rely yourself for that on skill buffs, what just looks unnatural

You’re right Anet never said that they would never do it. Although throughout the years of Guildwars they have made it very clear that they are against the use of mounts because they want to keep a strong sence of acheivement for exploring their world.
Meh, guys simply stop, its what some players want and others don’t, you won’t change anything by posting here, if anything this doesn’t belong in the suggestions but discussion forum. Currently there are no mounts. In the long run, maybe mounts will get implemented. Heavy emphasis on maybe, Anet has made comments on wanting to stay away from mounts with buffs, cosmetic is something I don’t mind. At leat if it is gems they support the devs I guess, so win there?
Yeah bring on the mounts. This game is all about cosmetics anyway and making your char look as you want, so why not something to jump on to go for a ride.
.. Oh it will make the world feel smaller people say, what about wp, an instant warp, doesn’t that make the world feel small already? And we already have speed boosts anyway.
