We need a raid (of sorts)
yup another Ex-WoW fan player spotted!
It’s already not so simple to get a 5 people team for a simple dungeon.
And I don’t like the raid thinking about wow: 1 week to clear it, which means you are obliged to play more than 1x/week. Even I play almost daily I still don’t like the feeling I “need” to be online.
Yes, we need more PvE and killing damage sponge.
Nice idea and way to bring some flare and competitiveness to PvE/dungeons. But it becomes a grind and monotonous all too quickly.
The devs don’t care about WvW so I’m gonna kill players in PvE!
you seemed to of missed the difference between WoW and Guild wars Turkashi. here we aren’t frantically clawing weekly for the chance at a weapon or armor that has upgraded stats that will put us back at the “standard” while everyone who standing even a slight chance of risking your chances are rejected (elitism)
Here we enjoy our runs. everyone gets token that we use to buy our gear after so many times, there is no need to run these for better gear its only purpose is to cater to people who want a challenge nothing is gained to make us better or stronger.
you must be the type that can’t stand the idea of doing something in larger groups. this is no different then our current dungeons only the ‘style’ of it is changing.

its all up for debate, the keys are more of a sense of progress in a story the whole time limit idea is a hit or miss. my only concern was everyone gets a ton of keys (yes everyone would get 1) and suddenly no one would be running the start anymore.
its already happening with current dungeons, everyone sticks to 1 or 2 paths and nothing else.
Being no different from our current dungeons, is the problem. Doing the same thing over and over, fighting the same boss, using the same game mechanics, dodging the same big attacks, going to the same safe spots to dps, watching the same cut scenes, what fun!

sad but true for most games, thats why i’m hoping anet will get this idea about dungeons changing depending on things we do or don’t do. gives it a bit of flavor we can’t forsee in advance and prepare for.
Yes, but while the dungeons change, they will change to a predetermined set of combinations. Once players familiarize themselves with that, it’s back to the same ol’ game of “Okay, we did this, now x, y, or z, can happen. Okay, Y happened, so we do this.”
Making so many possibilities that can keep players coming back without it turning into the predictable dungeon would be cost a lot of money and man power.
