Steamlances are the latest Charr creation, they are pneumatic lances that can launch projectiles, a mix of melee and ranged weapon. They require a very specific range to be effective, so controlling distance between you and the enemy is the key to success.

Warrior moveset: focused on enemy control

Slot 1 (3-attack sequence, all attacks have 300 range):
>Violent Thrust: deal damage depending on how far is the enemy
250-300 range = 130%
150-249 range = 100%
closer than 150 = 70%
>Vital Pierce: enemy bleeds if hit between 200 and 300 range
>Steam Burst: knocks enemy back 200 if they are under 100 range

Slot 2 (15 sec cooldown)
>Piercing Wave: Attacks creating a wave at 200 range that travels up to 800 range Crippling, Dazing and damaging enemies hit

Slot 3 (30 sec cooldown, 1000 range)
>Drill Break: burrows underground and attacks at targeted location from underground knocking enemies hit down

Burst: (normal burst cooldown, 1500 range)
>Joust: gain stability and starts charging the selected enemy (lose control over the character movement), movement speed increases each second, enemies on the way that are not the target take only little damage, but are knocked down, lasts up to 10 secs with full adrenaline (13 secs with traits)
>Release: happens automatically if the target is on range or the Joust ends, but can be triggered by the player too, ends the Joust and deals massive damage to all enemies in the lance range depending on your speed when triggered (stacking swiftness increases damage)

Guardian moveset: focused on movement to keep the enemy in the most effective range

Slot 1 (3-attack sequence, all attacks have 300 range):
>Knight Thrust: has 30% bonus chance to crit if the enemy is at 250-300 range
>Flurry: attacks 3 times quickly, each attack deal more damage depending on how far is the enemy
250-200 range = 45%
150-249 range = 35%
closer than 150 = 25%
>Evasive Strike: attacks targeted enemy, if the enemy is hit and it is under 100 range you do a quick evasive jump to the direction you are moving dodging an attack (won’t move if you are still)

Slot 2 (12 sec cooldown, 600 range)
>Knight Rush: Dash forward damaging enemies on the way crippling them, and leave a trail in the form of a ward behind you that reflects projectiles (lasts 4 seconds)

Slot 3 (35 sec cooldown, 900 range)
>Piercing Heaven: jump and strike the targeted location from above damaging enemies in the landing spot, and creating a Symbol of Fury, that grant fury to you and allies

Engineer moveset: a very long range set, damage multiple enemies in straight line

Slot 1 (1200 range attack)
>Ballista Shot: launchs the tip of the lance as a projectile piercing all enemies on the way

Slot 2 (20 sec cooldown, 2-attack sequence, 1200 range)
>Launch Rocket: shots a rocket that deals damage and becomes attached to the first enemy it hits pushing him back with it (max 600 pushback), if the enemy being pushed back collides with terrain or another enemy the rocket automatically Detonates
>Detonate: explodes the rocket damaing all nearby enemies and knocking them down

Slot 3 (20 sec cooldown, 1200 range)
>Burning Trail: shots a projectile that leaves a trail of tar that burns for 6 seconds, enemies that attempt to cross the tar will be slowed by it and will burn for a considerate amount of damage (the projectile deals the same damage of the Ballista Shot)
