Weapon Skill Set Tiers?
This is not only way too much work to think about doing after launch but it also goes against Anets decision to do away with the ton of skills they had in GW1, which allows people to get good with skills rather than adhering to the FOTM skillset.

But it isnt tons of skills at once. Its a SECOND set that will REPLACE your first set if you do not like the first set of skills. You will still have the same amount of skills (10 in total)
This is exactly what I’m hoping for.
What I hope they do is make your first 5 skills just like your last 5. Where you have a list of skills to choose from that relate to the weapon you’re using per slot and you customize that way.
This wouldn’t necessarily be against the “doing away with tons of skills” theory because you’re still only accessing 5 at a time during a fight, 10 for weapons swap 20 for elementalists.
And customization of playstyle and offering options to players is never a waste of time.
As it stands now EVERY-SINGLE-CLASS is the exact same. Combat gets incredibly boring after about 30 levels of using the exact same skills.

I agree with this. Maybe not just weapon sets but a handful of skills. There should be a small pool of skills for each weapon that can be interchanged to mach play style. This can be limited to as small-a-pool as 10-15 but just the option to swap out several skills would add a ton of diversity.
I find that weapon skill sets as they are always have the odd skill that is in an arkward place on the bar or doesnt get used as often.
