Weapon Skills (An Idea for Expansion & Depth)
I would rather see that I “level up” my weapon skills, by 3-5 stages, as I use them more and more.
You know what they say about the leading man? He never dies.
Sounds good to me! The lack of skills and progression past level 30 are my biggest gripes with the game. If I can make a suggestion, how about adding some of these skills into the trait lines? I’ll explain;
I’m a trickery thief, so my strength is in CND DMG, but I like to use sword/dagger… But dagger/dagger has an amazing bleed and a poison, so ArenaNet is indirectly telling me that’s the weapon set I SHOULD be using. If the skills themselves were un-lockable in the trait lines, instead of inherent to the weapons, we could use whatever weapon combinations we want! Of course there’d have to be different incarnations for each weapon set… For example having a “Bleeding slash” un-lockable might not work very well for dual pistols.
