Weapon coloring?
disagree 100%. Imagine how lame it is when someone swing the pink swords to you. Dye colors only armors is enough for me. If you want your weapon having some colors, try to seek Exotic or Legendary weapons.

What? I WANT to swing a pink sword, who gives akitten It’s like saying “imagine how lame it would be dying to a pink warrior”.
Yea, the point is dying only armor is enough for this game. Also the rarer weapon has unique colors from ordinary weapons, if the game allow players to dye weapon, I think it is hard to separate between those type of weapons.
For those that didn’t play GW1, you were able to dye weapons back in that game and made things a bit more tailored to our liking. And you could dye anything, I even went to dying my bags gold because I thought it brought me more luck ^^
I don’t mind the weapons not being able to be dyed but I would like to see a possibility to dye hair items that you pick from at the start as the colours are so limited when you create a character.
• Have you heard of the city? The ancient uru? Where there was power to write worlds •
You could dye weapons in GW 1 without any immersion problems, due to the fact that only parts of the weapon could be dyed. Why you can’t do that in GW 2 is an enigma to me.
Guild: Three Crowns
Position: Commander
I asked this question in gamescom, and dev told me that this is maybe something for future ;P
strong argument for not including weapon dyes: “good enough”
the fact that associating pink with humiliation happened is pretty awful as well and should have no bearing whatsoever on whether or not people are able to sufficiently customize their characters as they see fit. colors on weapons can clash with the dyes you choose to use for your armor, and attempting to tailor weapons to match the colors of the armor only risks making all the weapons look homogenized.
@lethlora
“It’s good enough”? You could say that about normal MMO combat as well, and use it as an excuse to not make the semi action, semi MMO combat GW2 has. It’s not about doing the minimum, it’s about excelling at what you can. It’s pretty obvious that weapon coloring will make A LOT of people happy.
In addition, the mix-and-match thing will completely rule out guild weapons in that case. I want to be able to represent my guild, but the colors are god-awful on those weapons.
