All weapons that you have equipped when you swap them will return to this bag before any others. This way I don’t accidentally salvage another rare weapon in my bag cause I go oo ecto! Only happened a couple times its not a big deal but would also be nice to help with inventory clutter.

This wouldn’t happen if, like in GW1, offhand items were not removed when you equip 2h weapons.

They should replicate that behavior, so offhands don’t go all over our bags or to equipment bags when you swap the main hand weapon with a 2h weapon.
Istead, they should get a ‘disabled’ icon over them in the inventory, indicating that the offhand in that slot is not in use.

That’ll save us all countless headaches.

Well while that would be nice it doesn’t help my mesmer who has four off hand items. I would just prefer to have all my weapons be in the same spot in my bags when I change them around.
