Set a man on fire, and he’ll be warm the rest of his life.

Some people like big, oversized weapons. Some folks like normal or “realistic” sized weapons. Others (female characters most likely) might prefer a smaller weapon.
Let us RESIZE our weapons at a weaponsmith. (A slider tool perhaps, with preview).
I personally prefer “realistic” sized weaponry, and have avoided some really pretty stuff only because it looks too outlandishly huge.
Exactly why would ANet go and make items look inconsistent now?
Aside from Asura weapons looking strangely smaller when out-of-combat, I don’t see the real demand that’s needed to outweigh the concept of aesthetic proportions.
And last I checked, there aren’t many games that allow re-sizing. lol
Edit:
You’re only digging yourself into a deeper ditch with that lousy rebuttal.
Making weapons comically ridiculous is totally inconsistent. GW2 is not a gag-game.
Asura are the only characters who need a slight weapon size increase. They don’t need the size to be more flexible.
And the very fact that very few games allow weapon-size adjustment prove that the feature is not in high demand.
Your idea is conclusively not in high demand meaning, so as far as ANet’s development and marketing teams are concerned there’s no reason to put it in.
Go re-do your economics homework, then you might understand.

What’s inconsistent? Keep the size slider from making weapons too comically ridiculous (either larger or smaller). It will open up more options to those of us who put some value in how out characters look.

That’s just my point. I am asking for support on an aesthetic level. I like my Asuran Mesmer’s greatsword when sheathed, but it looks ridiculously huge to me when pulled out. MOST weapons in this game tend to look oversized to me, Asuran or not. ANet easily resizes things everyday. The mechanics are there. Let us pay a Weaponsmith as another small money sink to make people happier with the way their toon looks.

Umm… so?
