There’s weather in the game, but I’d love to see it expanded on. There are a few areas where it rains a lot, or areas where it is always raining. But otherwise each area has one single static “climate”. Queensdale is always bright and sunny. Kessex Hills is always dingy and just-on-the-verge-of-or-perhaps-just-coming-from a rainstorm. Caledon Forest is always foggy and humid-looking. One of the snowy areas is always really snowy, one is a bright blue-skied day.

I feel like rain should be enabled all over most maps at random, and snow should happen everywhere on the snowy maps at times. The clouds going through cycles would be nice, too, but I know that’s a lot more work (new resources, etc) than allowing weather to happen in other places. I look at the sky in Kessex Hills and it’s always like I’m playing the same exact day, and it’s weird.

I’d love to see bright thunderstorms and clear days in Caledon Forest aand bright blue skies in Kessex Hills, stuff like that. The dynamic lighting/ambiance system (used most often when you enter and exit large caves) should make something like this pretty reasonably easy, I’d think. Rain in Queensdale is already managed using a location-based change of the sky/lighting.

I’d love to see varied and more noticeable weather in the game too.

I completely agree, as it is now it seems as weather is tied to events. I would love to see the weather changing in the zones. A little rain in Queensdale (for example) would be great.

Oddly enough, this occured a lot more in the beta.

There was actually a lot of weather changes in WvW too in the beta.

Less weather in WvW though… It’s hard enough to hold 15 FPS as it is.

i don’t want to see rain in the game it depresses me.

URGH the weather in WvW. I love the dynamic and that you can send storms against particular keeps, but a blizzard rolled into AB and I couldn’t see eff all, ended up getting trounced haha.

It’s a game changer to be sure, and I would love to see it more in PvE but I dunno how well it would go down.
