I’ve seen some suggestions to providing better rewards for killing champions in the world but would like to add one more now that Laurels are available as rewards for achievements. Once a week in a new Achievement section called “Weekly Champion Hunt” a set of 7 achievements is generated. Each of them provides the race and area of champion and killing this champion rewards player with 1 Laurel. If you finish all 7, you get nothing extra, so that you won’t have a feeling that you certanly must complete them all.
What I see as positive here:
1. Players get extra income of Laurels, so they don’t feel like they have to do each daily, so daily becomes more optional as it was before
2. Weekly means they have enough time to complete it so they don’t have to rush it, and also they don’t need to wait whole month if they complete it at day 1
3. This addition gives players extra incensitive to go into areas they explored before
Negative:
1. Some players, that don’t have high level characters may become blocked of completing this achievement
2. Price of items that can be bought for Laurels will need to increase due to increased income, or else ascended items will become too common
I am sure developers already have some ways to gain Laurels planned except achievement, but I want to see other player’s reaction to this idea. If it’s good or not at all.
