I’m so disappointed from making Eternity the only thing they did right was the foot fall effect i really wish ANET would change the design i actually like the concept art from this post Eternity should be unique maybe that way they can put back the burst of light animations and the sword trails that are missing.

This guy gets it – ANET please listen to your players – or HIRE them if you’re hitting a brick wall on creating new amazing weapons/armor.

Please don’t give us gimmicky legendary 2.0’s like quip and moot.

If you can’t make them awesome, do a contest to see who can create the most kitten legendary of each type, and have people vote on them.

Would be nice if one of these many patches we have had fixed the graphical issues such as no burst of energy when drawing weapon and no weapon trail on whirling wrath.

I personally am not much of a legendary greatsword fan (simply because I find the fact you cannot dye weapons is criminal in itself), but your design could make me reconsider.

Eternity should have a more epic looking skin like this! 4000g weapon should not just be two skins of the same weapons -_-

I’m in love with that sword, don’t even have a legendary, and not even a fan of blue. But amazing sword man!

I sort of hope they will throw some eternity update out of nowhere like they did with the dreamer and that it wont take another year ..

My only addition to this thread is that I don’t think that the OP’s rendering should be the ONLY graphic that Eternity has, because if it just has one graphic, it becomes the same as Twilight and Sunrise, just different preferences on which look you like.

I think this should be the “combined” view, with the ability to toggle between the “ultra eternity” and it’s components, twilight and sunrise.

I think having this as the “Eternity” graphic, and being able to toggle from this back and forth to the other two as well, is worthy of the effort required to make Eternity.

Eternity’s bugs aren’t even fixed after a year. No blade trail, no burst —> making it inferior to having Twilight and Sunrise separately.

anet plsssssssss do something about it, at least remove that purplegrey mist and make a fitting aura! (something like twilight and sunrise had for themselves, but more unique) the footprints are finde for the twilight form, but dont fit to sunrise, so, remove the mist, make a changing aura, and changing footsteps and i would be totally satisfied

Wow I gave up looking at the post after no dev comment in the first month, but I gave it another look and happy to see how active it still is. I appreciate all the feedback and I have read some interesting comments from you all and I like the idea someone said about the hilt swapping the angel at the top to demon at night angel bottom. As for the looking glass effect in the twilight and sunrise blades as another stated, I imagine the one i drew as a looking glass as well, of coarse depending how you hold the blade it will look different (just like the others) but I want a unique sky-box that captures both a heaven and hell feeling to it. Maybe below the purple space area a reddish nebula to represent the evil side. Someone else also stated that it is too closely related to the others, well rather than remodeling the whole sword, I figured players would want the sword to represent the two it came from, just with a twist to give it that unique feel that when you see the guy holding this walk into the city it really makes you go WOW! rather than just seeing another possible sunrise / twilight. Also to those saying for me to go to Anet to work, I would do anything to be there : ) gives me hope seeing those posts. But again, thank you all and keep this thread active! Some must fight so that all .. may be free…

Honestly man, the best compensation to me would be for them to offer me a spot to work with them, it would be my dream to make designs for weapons and armor for Anet, But even if im not offered anything, just them using this idea would make me happy.

As a joke since I have seen a lot of rainbow weapons…

I’ve got Sunrise and Twilight, and I wield them both on my Guardian, Aurora Wonderland.

I like having them split because I can choose which colour I want, at any moment. The idea of getting what the time of day gives you never made any sense to me.

The only reason I would (currently) craft Eternity is so that I would have an un-soulbound, and therefore sellable weapon.

On that note, I completely support the idea of having unique design for Eternity, if I can’t just have a switch to go back and forth.

Right now, having two weapons lets me have two completely unique sets of stats and upgrades at the same time. Perhaps this is what Eternity needs, to really be worthy of what it comes to be produced?

those 2 renders with blue and red are cool, and set it apart, but as with current eternity…it would be so much more fun if sunrise at night and twilight during day just to make certain nobody misses the fact that you got it

no kitten, i hope that arenanet will not change, AGAIN, look of eternity, because then it can be possible that i would regret that i didnt forge it and instead i forged Bolt as my second legendary (because i dont like updated look of eternity and its look before update even less). Although I don’t like the current aura, I feel the aura should alter during day/night as well the footfall. Plus, the player should be given the option to choose if they want to switch to Twilight or Sunrise.

I’m speechless, those 2 versions of Eternity look absolutely awesome…

I think every type of legendary weapons need to be combinable like greatswords/eternity before this. My class can’t use greatswords, so eternity makes no sense to me.

I was hoping that blade trail and burst (when drawn) to be fixed by 10th but I was wrong.
