We have a daily chest from big meta events like dragons, what if we have a random Daily character bound “XXX bag” from all DE, that gives out small loot from a few silvers to T1-T6 mats/food ingredients? Will this make exploring the world more fun?

This will make your daily achievements more rewarding and fun, as well as promoting people to explore the content in GW2.

They already do: it contains karma, xp and coins.

If that’s the case, why bother adding daily chests from the dragon/meta boss events? Anet suddenly deciding they want to be generous?

Because there’s a difference between a dozen large scale events and a thousand small ones?
