Instead of a vague date, and giving us two different dates (Both the 22nd and the 23rd in this case), give us an actual ETA.

It doesn’t mtater if it’s 100% accurate.

But anything is better than “Get ready for this event on the 22nd!” followed by “Well, by the 22nd, we meant extremely late in the day on the 22nd. So late that in some places it’s the 23rd.”

We got all excited for a big update on the 22nd and now today (the day of the event) we’re being told not to expect the update until after the regular time the daily events reset. For me, personally, that’s 8PM. 8PM! Nobody hears “This digital event starts on the 22nd” and thinks “Oh cool I better not get excited until 7PM!”. :\

Basically, vagueness is aggrivating. Vagueness followed by shattered expectations is even worse! If you had this information (the event will start so late in the day that it’s going to start past midnight in europe), you should have given it to us well before the actual date of the event.

Obviously it’s not the biggest deal in the world but any disappointment is still a disappointment and I feel this one could’ve been pretty much avoided with a little more communication.

At least you only have to wait until 8pm. I was looking forward to it and now find it starts at 1am

They really do need to be more specific in advance, especially with regards to the EU players.

I’d agree on that point, but 8PM means I’m at work! I was so excited, not working until late today meant all day to play around with cool new stuff…but…nope. At work. :’(

Aaah, that sucks.

I also think the specific times for US & EU should be on the launcher, since a lot don’t read the forum or bother with Twitter. I’ll be very surprised if map chat in LA later isn’t nothing but “where’s Halloween?” every few minutes.

Date and times for each server – per geographical location – are based on a large number of factors. It’s really very easy to know exactly when the event, update or unique experience will occur.
The easiest way to know is to check if you have any free time to play. If you do, the event will not occur. The events are scheduled to coincide with your spouse/partners need for you to help clean out the garage/basement or discuss that potential life altering lets get married/buy a house/have a baby/bring mom to live with issue. If in the event that you are in game and witness the event happening and are able to join, your dog will have the runniest runs on the living room carpet, the toilet will explode or your 6 year old will vomit on your keyboard.
