When will dungeon tokens be collectibles?
Yeah, collecting them is soo annoying… but look at the amount and costs of tokens! What will change, if you have a slot for one stack, if most things afford far more tokens?
There should be maybe a new menu, for accountbound things, that can be used for a merchent, like for gold, karma and especially laurels yet. Using them at merchents is the only use for them anyway!
That’s true. They could make it so the dungeon token collectible slot can take an unlimited amount (not just 250).
There should be a collectible tab for these types of things. I don’t even understand the reasoning for limiting collectibles to 250 anyway, what makes that number so magical? However, I don’t think anything like this will happen as less room for you = more chance of you buying another bank slot = more money for the gemstore.

Because if it went infinite, it would help the people who stockpile and wait for price changes even more. It actually provides a sort of meta-trading game where you have to HOLD items so your supply is limited by how much you can carry. You can increase this by purchasing bank/bag/character slots, which then helps Arenanet make profit while you’re aiming for profit (although if you are going to be spending that much money to stockpile goods, you most likely are buying gems with gold).

I guess my question is, how would this affect the average player? People who don’t play the TP? I think NOT having an infinite amount of space for these items generally hurts a larger majority of people. And like you said yourself, that group of players is most likely not supporting Anet through the gemstore anyways. Those types of players are converting their gold into gems and then purchasing bank tabs, not the player who turned 80 a few days ago and is looking for a way to store his multiple stacks of CoF tokens. It becomes more of a hassle and hindrance than anything else and is more frustrating in this generation of games. Most games nowadays tend to have some form of “currency tab” where items like this are stored. Look at how WoW has done it. You have an entire character page for currency type item that are stored.
It’s not about playing the TP – it’s about forcing everyone to buy more bank tabs using their gems. Even if most use gold to buy the gems, this will raise the price of gems and encourage more people to buy them with RL money. Besides, it’s a gold sink.
the player who turned 80 a few days ago and is looking for a way to store his multiple stacks of CoF tokens.
How do you have so many CoF tokens if you only just hit 80? Go spend them on zerker gear so you can do more CoF xD
What I think is that they wanted to make it but NC$oft said “NOPE” we ain’t sellin enough bank tabs.
Tokens aren’t sellable though, so their collectible tab can have more than 250 slots availible.
