Capes have always been (IMO) the best part of player armour along side shoulder armour. Where is the long swishy capes that give me character a bad kitten feel? Please oh please, I love capes so much ;’(.

I’d love to see a norn warrior standing in mighty platemail with an epic flowing cape of awesomeness following him. i’m guessing part of the problem is with charr, being that they run on four legs out of combat

They have capes that wrap around your waist. Butt capes if you will (not a clue if that will get censored). Very fashionable. See draconic armor.

In all seriousness, I think most games avoid capes because collision and clipping make them look terrible.

That norn warrior bit was exactly the sort of thing I was thinking of. So massive a cape it looks like you have a curtain pole across the back of your neck, it just seems like a cool concept.

In WoW I used to look forward to getting a cape when making a low level character cause it just made my character have a much better feel to it.

The back slot was originally intended for capes but they removed them in one of the very early closed betas from what I heard. Supposedly they had severe clipping issues. I dunno if they’re scrapped or just being reworked, hopefully the latter.

I’m pretty sure capes are whole lotta graphic issues. especially when 200 plus people are in a small area, unless you want the overstarched pine plank cloaks they have in wow.

Besides, how does one expect a hero to fly without a cape?

we already have to much clipping in gw2. I rather not see capes at all.

arenanet, why did you move my post to suggestions from general, the thread is titled “Where are the capes?” not “Suggestion: capes” It is a question, I am asking where the capes are. Also, to see my post and move it and not reply to it when it is a valid question is also ridiculous.
