Is there any real reason other than lore?

I made a decision 400+ days ago to make a Human Warrior, and now that I’m revisiting the class I am wishing I were a different race… why can’t ANet make these decisions easier for us than releveling/reranking?

I think Race has something to do with your personal story or cultural gear or something… I also want a race change… lol

Yes, the personal story, achievements, gear and rewards are all reason why this doesn’t exist.

You can still make a Warrior of a different race, just buy another character slot

And you can change the sex of your character with a Extreme Makeover kit.

I hated the 1-80 and prefer to only play WvW, so rerolling is an extra XX hours spent levelling just to BEGIN the rank climb over again… :\ Much rather pay the $X dollars to change my race and keep my existing stats… 99% of culturally restricted gear is trash anyway.

Rank won’t be a problem, it’s going to become account bound. About the leveling experience i feel you.
Sex change is possible with the total makeover kit.
Race change is not possible for the reasons given above by other ppl.

Also it would cause some problems like cultural armors, and the appearance of armors that would have to change.
Add to that the problem as said before of personal story : it would have to be completely wiped, making players angry.
So I don’t think it will be possible one day.

Just roll a new character and stop moaning because race change will never happen.

as much as I would like a Race Change in the Gem Store, I don’t believe this would ever happen. but as much as people want this, why not introduce 2 other Items people have ask for in the past.

An item that’s turns a Soul bound Item into a account bound Item.

And a Items that’s increase your level to max or in 20 lvl Increments (instead of just up to 20). getting to 80 isn’t exactly hard or challenging, fun the first time, not so much the second time or more around.
