Not everyone can do jump puzzles. It can take a long time to complete a jump puzzle for your first time. Plenty of people get frustrated and just ignore them completely. I am much better at jump puzzles now than I was a year ago. It took practice.

I am saddened by the lack of recognition and reward we get for completing jump puzzles.

You didn’t give me anything for doing all the jump puzzles in the game.
I got 1 single exotic that I won’t ever use for finally conquering the Mad King’s Clock Tower.

I felt accomplished when I reached these milestones but I don’t feel properly rewarded.

I want titles, I want better rewards, & I want more jump puzzles. Anyone else agree?

Well, I would like to see better rewards for JPs also, based on difficulty of course (the Aether JP gave me a solid headache)
I’m surprised that I haven’t got nothing better than a green item from JP so far, and I’ve jumped hundreds of them. I wonder how high is the chance for exotic (according to the fact that even precursor can drop, written on Wiki).

would also be fun to have actual jumping PUZZLES, the clock tower is less a puzzle and more a race to the top with the bigger races like charr and norn having the biggest advantage.
a jumping puzzle should be about figuring out the puzzle and getting through it, not to kill so many enemies and rush through it because there is something there trying to kill you.
i want something like this:

OK not to be a “Negative Nancy”, but I think Jumping Puzzles are overemphasized in this game. Have you looked at how many of the darn things there are? They come out with new ones all the time, and SAB was all one big JP. Some of us (like me) absolutely hate JPs. Like, with a passion. I think there is no room to complain about JPs in this game since the entire SAB event was only for those of you that like them, meanwhile all of us who can’t stand them were left to just watch everyone else get cool rewards.

So I think that they actually need to do the opposite and tone down the amount of JPs by not creating things where you have to to them in order to get certain rewards (SAB 1 and 2) and other things (such as vistas in world completion where you are forced to do a JP to get to them).

I play a Charr and I have a godkitten hard time figuering out where on earth I am standing at (feet slipping away from an actual location, non-intuitive physics at jumps). Even if I do, and jump correctly, there is like a 99% chance to jump to a point where the camera totally glitches because of an object flying directly up my head (a tree branch, leaves, terrain..) and it zooms on my body to like 200% completely trolling me in my next move. And then you encounter something like the metrica province puzzle and ask yourself, why bother…

edit: done the wall breach puzzle, morgans leap, hidden garden.

I totally agree. I LOVE jumping puzzles. Sometimes, I go run my top 5 or 10 favorites just because I enjoy them. I really do wish the rewards were better.

I also agree with there needing to be more puzzle to the jumping puzzles. Answering riddles, using clues, etc… Maybe not all of them, as I do enjoy many of the straight forward ones also, but it could be fun.

I dislike that the mad king clocktower is timed. I love the concept of the whole tower thing, but the OMG GOGOGOGO FAST, I hate. I’m a thinker. I’d rather take my time and plan my moves. For me JPs should be challenging but relaxing at the same time, like doing a New York Times crossword on Sunday morning.

JPs are a great break from the go go go, kill kill kill, go go go, stack, go go, kill of WvW, dungeons, PvP, and Mad King’s Labyrinth. The clocktower doesn’t seem like a break from that, which is really diappointing.

Common sense is a flower that doesn’t grow in everyone’s garden. -Unknown

Totally acree with you, I can’t even understand how someone can say that bigger classes have an advantage….
Charrs have the problem you described, Norns are jumping kinda kittenish, like their legs were chopped off in knees, can’t think out better expression now
I’m so glad that most of my characters are humans, comfortable jumping achieved

It depends a bit on the puzzle in question. Last years clocktower was a pain for small classes, and the same goes for guildpuzzles. The reason is that it full off those clumsy big bookah’s. Other jumping puzzles have issues with the zoom function where you block your view on bigger classes.

Overall I would say that jumping is a lot easier on asura’s.
