Why run slower when hit?
actually i like this feature, though annoying at times it makes sence. not many people i know can run full speed when hurt. that and running from combat makes you a bit of a coward. simply dodge the attack or kill the enemy or dont aggro it…yes this means some player skill is actually involved.
LOL, yeah, it’s stupid from a “realism” standpoint. After all, what do we do to horses to make them run faster? However, it does make sense for game balance. Running faster while out of combat is a reward for being good at avoiding a hit. It’s also a way to ensure that kiting in PvE doesn’t get any easier than it already is.
It is designed so you won’t run through a zone gathering a nice mob train behind you.
True mobs have shorter leashes inthis game but they are still going to train.
It also helps commit you to the battle at hand
additionally? i can’t think of a game i’ve played in YEARS (possibly decades? am i REALLY that old??) where slowing down when hit isn’t a feature of the gameplay.
