Q:

My first post.. So I’d first like to say that I’m also among the many who are amazed at the game and respect the passion, effort the crew put in the work creating such a polished and seamless experience.
As much as I’m quite sure you guys have your hands overly full with all the insane amount of content you’re adding to the game frequently, here are my ideas that I only wish for the crew to glance at.

1. At the end of a match I’d like to see, along with the scoreboard a screen zooming on the highest ranked player of the victory gained team doing some winner animation with his real gear colour respective to their class, weapons at the time and not their race. He/she should be standing on an honoured location dedicated to the winner of match map. E.g. Warrior dual wield sword – right hand slash, half horizontal body twist with decisive perfect momentum horizontal left backslash followed by a light and prideful foot-stomp and a disdainful smirk on the face(or disdainful look down, which could be more practical). Thief pistol/dagger – camera zoomed close on thief, smoke emerges slowly from the ground thief suddenly disappears in smoke, camera shaking turning around quickly, thief holding pistol awaiting with focused look and bang!
Also related to the PvP, within the few seconds of re-spawn time, a zoomed, fixed follow-up on the killer would be satisfying, either to see him/her die or bolster the lust of revenge.

[I just feel like all the detailed and highly customizable set of gears are wasted when mostly the player himself poses as the sole admirer. And it also adds to the personal recognition aspect, that subjectively speaking, is somewhat lacking.]

2. More customizable HUD!
Making the HUD clearer (no paint screen border, smaller target screen) and some parts of it auto-hid as options would most likely be welcomed indefinitely.

[This one has been around for long, but again, this is a personal wishlist. Although possibly making the classic HUD obsolete.. which could be sad.. since it is quite lovely.. necessary sacrifice I’d say tho, cause it changes the feel of scenery immensely for the better.. possibly because I have a humble 18.5 inch display tho..]

3. New control mode = Action mode. Essentially free-camera + screen based directions + hold right mouse button for focusing on target.
Following, I’ll break down each of these basic constituent component:
<> Free camera: The camera mode in Settings/Interface/Camera
<> Screen based directions: as opposed to view based directions. Basically you run right when you hit the run right button, ahead if you hit run ahead button, etc.. and all that, relatively to the view of you screen. I tried the somewhat resembling “action mode” while playing in free camera using arrow keys to navigate: straight ahead, straight back, turn left, turn right; while using left mouse button to adjust the view. It truly changed a lot of things. Positively. And I also found one other obvious nuisance, which brings me to the third major component.
<> Hold right mouse button to focus: target based direction of attack. By which I mean the target becomes the base of where our attacks and movement modifiers depend on. That means you’ll face your opponent and channel your Drake’s Breath at him while you can walk slowly at the opposed direction. Without holding the right mouse button you’ll simply run and breath fire the opposite way .
The current system (without free camera) changes the basic speed of characters based on which direction we run to based on where our view is locked on (backwards=super slow, strafe = slow, ahead/diagonally ahead = not that slow). Which is perfectly reasonable and makes combat much more organic compared to independent speed. It also add little annoyance such as: exhausting your ankle, losing sight of fight for a moment for running at the opposed direction of action to make a strategic temporary escape.

[This is a big one. The one I’m yearning for most. And probably the least likely to be implemented of all.. Because the imbalance that it could cause which I personally doubt can’t be adjusted. But my thoughts so far in a few words: it feels more epic watching your character from different angles, less interrupting constant camera movement means more perceptive of what is going on, also I’m playing this at around 30 fps which make this help even more so, no need to zoom all out and miss the awesome textures and design, movement feels clean and full of freedom, one last idea on it that is perfectly self-explanatory in one word and truly mind-blowing: Gamepad, or dare I even say another word.. Console.. I don’t know if it can be done.]
