The map and the world itself kinda looks the exact same? in a way , the design like that is just weird. (in my opinion)

CHECK THIS PLEASE;
Just like in WoW you have the zones/areas. In those zones/areas each one gives off a certin feel/abstract and overall this point to the zone. In GW2 You can just have these random zones giving no meaning or a no point.
So like take WoW for example, (Uldum).

Another example of the filtering/colors/feeling/light/etc

Each Zone has nice layout/coloring/textures/etc. The view of it in general has this such as " a b c d e f g ", each letter may represent each area of the zone. And each area has a whatever to it. Like a circle around the area and in the circle the monsters/objects/textures/elements/area/etc is put together and is all matched up and combined into making it a area such as “b”.
- environment / the parts of the game / colors.
- There’s the theme of each zone and theme includes the textures,lights,monsters,view and everything in that zone in general. Do the monsters match that theme of the zone?, do the ground textures,etc,etc,etc… And then when done it all matches up and then you have that perfect zone , the zone which has a theme and a point. A zone that gives a feeling like its its own zone all matched up and nice,etc. Also the scale makes a big difference and does the scale match everything else in the zone?.
What I said may not be exact but along the lines and expand it yourself.
and , The “culture” of the buildings → textures/etc. etc
and also, the textures/color/light/etc is nice and “bright”, the filter seems correct in wow .
with gw2 sometimes it seems dark or just like strange
