World-Wide DE Notification
No. The massive amount of spam that would be filling the channel, as meta-events are happening constantly, all over the world.... How about, since the rewards are all generally the same, you just do the ones you want or are close to, instead of following the massive zerg?

You are, apparently, unfamiliar with the ‘karma race track’.
Karma farming = Stand in Lone Point, where the level 74 event spawns every few minutes. Use a Karma Booster. Apply ground targeted AoE. Announcing this, along with the number of people who spam every event that pops every time it pops, is just not a good idea.

Make it zone-wide, world-wide seems unnecessary.
Zone wide is map chat, and people already use that.

I don’t know what you’re getting at there, but GW2 encourages high participation and team work in events (more people = greater mob spawn).
I think it would be a nice addition, provided that I could choose which zones I could “subscribe” to when it comes to DE-hunting. Sure, I could pay attention to /map or /guild chat but sometimes, I play on odd times during the day that I may not get those same notifications.
Another alternative is to increase the notification range for some DEs if very few people are participating in it.

Yeh agree, the zone needs to show every event, and all major events need to be shown in the entire world.
They also need a global lfg channel and let us create custom chat channels. This game lacks all the basic features.
