Would It Be Too Much To Ask...
http://axegang.enjin.com
It’s just that with not 1 axe or set of axes as an emblem, I find it difficult to believe some of the emblems you do have.
A pineapple, a rooster, and do we really need an amphibious turtle as an option?
Please give us some more appropriate choices for an emblem. All I really need are 2 axes in a crossed fashion.
Some other suggestions to replace the roosters and salmon could be coats of arms, Old English letters, even fancy cursive lettering.
Sincerely,
Disruptive

Axes in a crossed fashion would be awesome. Lettering would be nice as well.
The keys, salmon, and pineapples? Not so much.

I also agree they could get a couple of more guild icons!
Lettering with a choice of fonts would be pretty kick kitten too.

Arenanet you would have my undying love if we could upload our own gif images.
You’d still get a big hug if I could just get some kinda crossed axes thingy like this…

I can agree we need more emblems….or even better the system that Aion had that allowed you to upload an emblem.
On that note though….6 posts in your own thread? I’m surprised they didn’t hit you with multiple infractions for bumping.
With over decade straight playing all genres of online gaming there’s nothing I want more than seeing a quality game with this much potential thrive, and there’s no one more qualified at consulting to that end. Though this suggestion may be a selfish one, I make many suggestions here on issues I could care less about, but wish to see resolved nonetheless.
I’ve always said it’s not hard to make a good game or be a good player. The real trick is making a game or becoming a player that is exceptional.
As far as games are concerned, the secret is in the little things, and in many ways Guild Wars 2 shines in this respect. In that very same respect we see little things like in my OP that screams in our heads:
“What were these people thinking when they were adding this pineapple as a guild emblem, and how hard could it have been to add like 100-200 more to avoid the problem of not having enough choices to begin with?”
With all the great little things in the game that have us loving it so much, there’s this sizable number of fundamental aspects of today’s MMOs that are missing here. I just hope Arenanet is listening here because that’s what will keep us around in the long run.

How about just port the GW1 emblems over to GW2?
It was very annoying for us,since our guild moved over from GW1 to GW2,but we couldn’t keep our emblem.
It looked like this: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guild:Victory_Is_Life_Eternal
Desolation
It would be nice if more emblems were available.
It adds to the personalization feel of the game. And shouldn’t your guild emblem be something personal?
I however feel that players should not have the ability to upload. Not unless someone was approving it before it went live on armor and such.
I just think of a very popular fps that was allowing you to make your own emblem. And I shudder to think of a cute little Asura with a swastika on its chest coming up to quest with me. Or a large Char or Norn with a kitten displayed proudly.
Or a large Char or Norn with a kitten displayed proudly.
I TOTALLY WANT A PONY ON MY CHARR WARRIOR! FOR PONY!
ahem
Something like the OP’s suggestion would probably be incredibly simple to implement, since it’d just be a case of creating the emblem, and inserting it into the options.
I agree that they could expand on the emblems. They could even put a Design-Your-Own in the cash shop (vetting required of course).
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
Yeah that statement was censored. Try this. Boys have a……….girls have a ……….now what do boys have. Insert that and my statement stands true. But I would be cool with a kitten emblem on my char.
I would like to see stylized versions of the ingame lettering, New Krytan, used not english or any other real world alphabet.
