While I, trough my journey trough Tyria, have seen lot’s of aesthatically pleasing landscapes and some fine weapons models, I have yet to see actually brutal weapons. Some gigantic pieces of metal with big spikes etc.
I’ll try to make a perspective from my warrior.
Back when I created him, I wanted to be the warrior from the GW2 art: big kitten armor and a big fat 2h axe. First dissapointment I came across: there are no 2h axes… Okay, bit dissapointing, but ofcourse not gamebreaking, so I continued.
Next on the list were dual 1h axes. Now nearly level capped(and looked trough online databases for weaponmodels) I was rather dissapointed to see that all those 1h axes look small and fragile. Thin sticks with a narrow blade on top of it. This is not what I had in mind for my warrior
…… They look very gimmicky on my gigantic norn warrior…
Now, luckily, there are some “okay” looking weapons in the 2h sword/hammer arsenal, and the 1h swords/maces look pretty much like they should be. But still I feel I miss that “awe” factor on my warrior. He has this brutal barbaric/gladiator-like armor, is big and muscled, but…. wields sissy weapons….
To be really honest, I have yet to come across a weapons that I really like. The legendaries I’ve seen only have this fairytale look, with shiny glitter all over it…
