First, hello all. I’m not native english speaker so I will apologize all terrible spelling mistakes I’m doing, sorry about that. I hope you still get my point. ^^;
Dear Anet, thank you for awesome game. I got 8 chacters, one world map completion and I still keep going and love the game. I have enjoyied most of the events around and I think you guys are awesome. I know you work hard and I appriciate that. I think many users here are a bit too harsh on you, though others give exceleent ideas howw develop the game. There is 3 things however I have been wanting to the game, and I didn’t find topics which would directly point to these ideas (I just might be blind or looked properly though) so I’m here to trow in my 2 cents.
1. Saving graphic profiles
I usually play this game with my friends. Neither of us have the best hardware, but I can run the game on best graphics quite ok, if there isn’t any big events going on. So yeah, game runs pretty smoothly in normal state.
BUT. Well, we have both loved Scarlet, and Tequatl and all the things going on, seriously, they have been awesome, I had fun. But during Scarlet invasion, on those huge, huge fights, my computer crashed twice (yes, whole computer) and GW crashed who knows how many times, until I started lower my graphic settings. Your last updates have made this all easier for me, but my friend is still struggling. So we don’t want to play with low graphics all the time, so this is how our gaming goes now:
First we play with our regular graphic settings. Then wild Tequatl/Scarlet appears, we changes our graphis, go and kick some lizard/sylvari butt and then we change our graphics back again. Sometimes several times during the gaming session.
We start to remmember our graphic setting already, and I know you work on performance issues, but this is getting a bit silly. ^^; So my humble request would be: could it be anyway possible, that we could save our own graphic profiles (one or two) to the menu where we have high performance and best graphics right now? Make our own presets, so instead of going this graphic-mess all the time, we could do it with one click. It would be much efficent while we wait that game performance gets better or we get better internet connections and better hardware.
2. Way to see all my character informations side by side
So. I bought 3 character slots. And now I have 8 characters on level 80. and I never know who is where, what they have done, who was wearing what gear and had they visited this-and-this map.
When I got to login page, I only can see there armor they are wearing from the picture and few percents of world map completion on the side. This isn’t being very imformative. In game we can type /age and see how many hours we have played and how many of them with character we see on screen, but we have no way to compare this data, un less you log in with all characterss and write it down. it would be easier to figure out what I was doing, if I could view my statistics side by side. You know, maybe just out of curiosity, wouldn’t it be nice to know how many percents of each of your character has done from Fields of ruin completion, etc? you know, wiev all the data we have about in game from our characters in one place, to make our own comparision, if we wish.
I undrestand making such a feature inside the gamesystem might be way too hard. but you know, we can login to this website. our profile here is pretty much only for changing our passwords. why not make there a page where we could wiev our character statistics? Just, you know, to see what level was everyones crafting skills or have they visited cursed shore yet. just little things. It would be fun to see!
3. Skill change button
This one might be a bit far fetched. but sometimes I wish, that I could change my utility-, healing- and elite skills in the same way, from single button like I change weaponsets. With similar cooldowns and such. you could make 2 seperate skillsets, which could have some same skills if you want so, and with one click you could change between them. naturally, if you have same skill in both sets, and it has cooldown going it keeps cooling down, but yeah, it would change all the skills that aren’t in the another set. I play my necro with 2 very different skill builds depending whom I’m playing with, so it would be nice to change the build in fly. I think the current system is good alredy, so this isn’t must on my list, but still, it would be a cool feature to spice up pvp and such.
