Hey all just thought I would share my idea’s with the masses.
So basically I think the commander should have a little more power then just a target on the map.
A commander should get more abilities the more castles, supply camps, he/she defends/captures.
I think commander’s should get voted in and out of office by the army. Yes, that means that one commander per however long he/she and the army want them to play and that’s how it should be.
But pressing on here are my commander ability ideas.
Level 1: Commander can boost supply Dolyak speed and how much supply they carry for x amount of minutes. (Medium recharge time)
Level 2: Commander can summon 20 veteran attack/tracking dogs that randomly run around the map looking for enemy players to kill. The dog’s are also tracking dogs so if you look on the map enemies within a certain radius are pinged on the map. (Long recharge time)
Level 3: Commander can order npc guards at castles into different formations. For example “wall defense formation” “protect castle lord formation” “gate defense formation”. That means that every single npc will go to that directed area. They may not repel huge zergs of 50 ppl but if you have a decent amount of defenders having a dozen or two npc’s on the wall or surprising the enemy at the gate gives a tactical advantage. (Short recharge time)
Level 4: Commander has rally ability. This ability boosts all stats of the army around commander within a certain radius by 15-20%. It lasts 30 seconds.( Medium recharge time)
Level 5: Commander has the ability to call for reinforcements! A legendary lord and his elite guard follow the commander to victory! The npc’s stay until killed. (If commander gets DC or leaves wvw npc’s go away. If he is killed they continue fighting where they are until he/she returns. (Very long recharge time)
