Specifically for upgrades, because burdening the cost of it on one player then losing that fortress is a bit cruel. What I suggest is a bank like system with no withdraw option, people can pick which upgrade to donate to and deposit however amount of currency they want, then when it reaches its price the upgrade starts.

I just hate payign 23 or 28 silver for a trebutche then have some Kitten face troll come along right after it is built but before I can use it jump on it and not get off it. I am all up for helping the server out, but when someone pays for an upgrade they should have the option to use it over the person that didn’t pay for it.

I don’t understand what you’re trying to say?

If you put your own siege down, you have the option of taking it over at anytime. Regardless of who is in control of it.
