WvW Jump Puzzles- Make neutral
That’s why that JP is in WvW, and not in PvE.
No.
It is in a PvPvE zone, it should have the risk of being PvP:ed.
If you want to complete a JP there are loads of them outside of WvW that are much easier and faster without the risk of PvP.

So players who sit & wait for their enemy is competitive? I don’t get the concept, especially if you’re trying to get badges of honor – unless the person who disagrees with me are part of the problem
Who said anything about being competitive?
WvW is a warzone.
You can’t run around in a warzone and decide that the enemy should not kill you.

I don’t camp Wv3 JP’s and I will say it is frustrating, but I understand that it is a PvP zone. Regardless of weather it is competitive or not it is a pvp area. Either deal with it and keep trying or don’t do it. It took me nearly 5 1/2 months to complete the Obsidian (EB) JP, that is completing it the normal way not through Mes port.
Beats the entire reason it’s in a World vs World zone.
They already removed the possibility to build siege in the JP which was a real annoyance. That was a good call.
Fighting 2-3 guys is easily done with a bigger group. Just come there with friends and it’ll be easier
ANet insisted on tying achievements that were otherwise completable in PvE to WvW. If the only people doing these JP’s were those who embraced the PvP aspects of the zone, then there would be fewer complaints or suggestions about them.
To the OP: players from the other server are doing what the zone was created for, PvPing. The JP rewards badges of honor, which allows the purchase of siege. So, denying the enemy the opportunity to gain easy badges is a legitimate tactic.
I completely agree with this, but didn’t see it until posting a similar suggestion myself.
Indigo, I question whether acquisition of siege from the jp makes camping it a legitimate tactic- the bottleneck in siege production is, in my experience, supply- not blueprints
And even if the puzzle were changes to only give non-wve items, and the puzzle were changed so enemies didn’t drop loot inside the puzzle, there would still be campers- this is because these people don’t do it to gain an upper hand- they do it to be kittens.

You may be right about the logistics of siege. That does not mean people cannot think it’s a valid tactic. While I know I’m being foolish, I’d prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt, absent any evidence to the contrary.
The OP is essentially asking for the creation of a PvE zone in a PvP map. That just doesn’t seem right to me when there is a PvP solution to the problem. Unwillingness to make the effort to utilize that solution does not seem like a legitimate reason to change the puzzle.

It doesn’t matter why they’re doing it, all valid reasons. It’s like if I came on the forum saying I should be able to PvP people in PvE jumping puzzles. The zone is the key factor in this, something OP needs to understand.
I did Mistwrought Vault yesterday. Saw several rednames who left me alone. Maybe your server is full of jerks who earned this treatment.

Obsidian sanctum generally 300% worse than bl jps in terms of campers. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen plenty of rednames in eb who left ppl alone, but far more will camp and zerg

The whole point of this place is to kitten with the opposing servers. Considering the reward you’re supposed to have to work for it. If you can just walk in and get it, then they need to remove all of the badges of honor and seriously ramp up the rarity of the seige weapons.
This is coming from someone who will simply leave if I see even one enemy player at the entrance because I know I’ll never make it to the end with them there.

Yeah, while you’re at it, I like killing veteran guards, supervisor, and claiming keeps. Please remove all those invaders trying to stop me.
Does anyone realize Anet purposely built traps into the puzzle that players can use against other players? Wake up and realize this is all intended but please let the carebear tears keep flowing, they are delicious.
